Liquid black ink offering pleasant visual effects due to metallic particles and coloured pigments, depending on the quantity of water added (NB images hereunder show only the fluid before shaking and the black ink doesn't appear). Best on very absorbent paper. Good for modern Western calligraphy as well. Shake well before use ; clean brushes with water.
INK IN PASTE
Typical Japanese creation, ink paste branded "sumi no kaori" or ink's perfume allows infinite variations in shade, tone and density, according to the quantity of water mixed, from two to fifteen times or even forty when very pale tone is desired.
